Portacool, LLC selects DFW location for new distribution center

Portacool, LLC, a worldwide manufacturing leader in the portable evaporative cooling industry, recently established a North American distribution center at the Dalport Trade Center just south of Dallas. The new geographically-centralized location will provide a sizable transportation infrastructure to facilitate approximately 20,000 shipments of product in 2015 with a capacity to handle roughly 1,000 units arriving at the facility each week. 
 

The new facility is conveniently located on IH-45, about 5 miles south of the I-20 intersection in Dallas. This distribution hub boasts approximately 20 dock doors at each end of the building to allow for ample space for loading and unloading trailers, as well as cross docking of material. The facility will house 10 full-time Portacool employees, with as many as 14 during the busy season.
 

“Over the last several years, we have supported our business growth using third-party partners who operated our distribution activities,” said Rob Kennedy, Chief Financial Officer of Portacool. “By consolidating our distribution operations as part of our strategic vision for our business, Portacool will be able to provide higher levels of customer service by utilizing our own dedicated employees to support current and future volumes.”
 

Operations will begin this month, with the facility fully operational by February 2015.
 

The distribution center is located at 201 South IH-45, Suite 100, Wilmer, Texas 75172. The lease was brokered by Corporate Realty Advisors and marketed by CBRE.
