City of Wilmer
The City of Wilmer continues to merit recognition as a “Superior” Public Water System, as designated in a letter from Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Region 4-Dallas/Fort Worth on January 20, 2022. The requirements, outlined by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, are listed below. The designation is about the overall water system operation and not just the quality of the drinking water.
In addition to water quality, the requirements include factors related to treatment, pumping, and storage capacity.
“I am so proud of our Water and Wastewater Department for all of their hard work and dedication for ensuring our utilities are maintained and drinking water is safe. I am beyond excited that we continue to have a “Superior” public water system and recognized by the Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality (TCEQ),” said Sheila Petta, Mayor, City of Wilmer.
