Medline Industries opens Wilmer Distribution Center

Medline Industries Inc., the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical products, has officially opened an 800,000 square foot distribution center in Wilmer, Texas – 15 miles south of downtown Dallas.  The $59M facility at Medline Drive and Interstate-45 in Sunridge Business Park currently employs 55 people.

“Medline is an excellent corporate citizen in communities where it has facilities,” said Wilmer Economic Development Executive Director David Miracle, CEcD.  “The company is actively involved in community volunteering, and has hired veterans and others who might be otherwise overlooked.” 
 

Medline was founded in 1910 as a Chicago garment factory making aprons for the stock yards.  Today, it produces more than 350,000 medical products and has some 15,000 employees.  In 2016, it was voted as one of the best places to work in the Becker’s Hospital Review.
