Scannell Properties has increased their presence in the North Texas industrial development market with the announcement of their Sunridge Business Park projects in Wilmer, Texas.  Located on Interstate 45, just four miles south of Interstate 20 and twelve miles south of downtown Dallas, the projects will consist of a 227,230 square foot and 707,200 SF, multi-tenant warehouses.  Projected project completion date is second quarter 2016 and third quarter 2016, respectively.

Representing Sunridge Business Park owner Mike Rader in the land transaction were veteran industrial brokers Chris Teesdale and Tom Pearson of Colliers International’s North Texas office.  They were familiar with Scannell’s success on a recent project in Fort Worth and reputation in other markets across the country and worked closely with Scannell and their representatives, in identifying the specific sites and building sizes that would best meet the market.

“We are excited about Scannell’s new warehouses within Sunridge Business Park,” says Pearson. “Being located at the entrance to the park on Pleasant Run Road, directly across from the Union Pacific Intermodal provides a tremendous locational advantage.”

Teesdale added, “In addition to having the lowest tax rate in southern Dallas County, the City of Wilmer has been aggressive in attracting industrial users to Sunridge.”

Sunridge Building 1 represents the first phase of this project and will be followed by further development within the Sunridge Business Park. Tim Elam, Managing Director, Scannell Properties is excited to announce the company’s additional industrial product in the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. “We’re looking forward to working with the local brokerage community.”
